Tempel Hwagyesa (화계사(서울))

Description

Der Tempel Hwagyesa befindet sich am Fuße des Berges Samgaksan und ist ein Tempel des Jogye-Ordens. Trotz seiner Lage inmitten von Seoul bietet er eine friedliche Atmosphäre und eine Abwechslung vom stressigen Alltag in einer Großstadt.
Der Tempel wurde 1522 von Mönch Shinwal errichtet, brannte jedoch durch ein Feuer im Jahre 1618 ab. 1866 wurde er wieder aufgebaut.
