Jim Thompson was an American businessman who popularized Thai silk in the 1950s and 1960s and has several Jim Thompson brand stores in Thailand. https://www.jimthompson.com/store-locator If you go to 'Jim Thompson House', where Jim Thompson lived, you can see pretty Thai architecture, neatly organized gardens, various artworks, and silkworm cocoon threads. You can also buy products made of silk. The entrance fee is 200 baht as of 2019. It is near Siam Center.
