Kiyomizu-dera Temple (Kiyomizu-dera Temple | Kiyomizu-dera Temple)
It is said that it existed before Kyoto became the capital.
It is said that Kyoto became the capital in 794.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple is said to have been completed in 778.
On the way to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, you pass Sannenzaka (Sanneizaka | Sanneizaka | 産寧坂 | Sannenzaka | 三年坂), an uphill shopping street. Incidentally, there is also Ninenzaka (Nineizaka | 二寧坂 | 二年坂) nearby.
