On November 23, 1946, Gwangju Night Graduate School was renamed Chosun Graduate School.
On May 26, 1948, Chosun Graduate School was authorized as Chosun University.
On March 10, 1953, Chosun University was promoted to Chosun University (comprehensive university) (three colleges of liberal arts, law, and engineering were established).
Established the College of Pharmacy on September 26, 1959
Established Teachers College on January 9, 1965
December 22, 1966 Medical College established
