The Jeolla-do dialect is used in the Jeollabuk-do and Jeollanam-do regions and has a soft pronunciation and intonation. People who speak the Jeolla-do dialect may generally have difficulty communicating with people who speak the Seoul standard dialect.

The Jeju Island dialect is used in the Jeju Island region and has very unique characteristics compared to dialects in other regions. The Jeju Island dialect has different pronunciation and intonation, and its vocabulary is also unique.
