What a lucky coincidence.
The founder, Shichiro Inoda, started a wholesale business of imported food in 1940 before joining the military. When he returned to Kyoto after World War II, he found about 15 bags of coffee beans in good condition in his warehouse. INODA COFFEE was born when I opened a coffee shop in Kyoto using the beans.

During the American occupation, substitute coffee was consumed because authentic coffee beans were difficult to obtain. Word spread that INODA's coffee was genuine, and INODA's coffee shop became a "coffee salon" where cultural figures and successful businessmen from Kyoto gathered.

We believe that high-quality products can only be made from high-quality raw materials. Based on this belief, we have developed six original blended coffees, including the famous Arabian Pearl. This belief has been passed down from generation to generation along with our cherished philosophy of "omotenashi" (warm hospitality), always welcoming guests with high-quality service.
