Fort Santiago

A must visit place if you are interested in the Philippines history! A place you automatically go to when you go to Intramuros! It was the headquarters of the Spanish army in the 16th century. It is also the place where independence activist José Rizal was sentenced to death and imprisoned, and during the Japanese occupation, many Filipinos lost their lives while being imprisoned here. There is no shade, so be sure to bring a hat. There are also many places to take pictures. The entrance fee is 75 pesos as of 2019.
